About these terms

These terms apply to the Neuro Ally marketplace at neuroally.autismhelp.org.uk. They cover signing up, posting listings, contacting other members, leaving reviews, and money flow through the platform.

We aim to keep these terms clear and short. Anything unclear, email us at neuroally@autismhelp.org.uk.

Using the marketplace

When using Neuro Ally you agree to:

  • Be truthful in your profile, listings, and reviews. Don't impersonate someone else, fabricate qualifications, or post listings you can't deliver.
  • Be respectful. No harassment, abuse, hate speech, or discriminatory content directed at other members or any group.
  • Use the platform lawfully. Don't use it to facilitate anything illegal.
  • Not misuse the system. No scraping, automated activity, attempts to bypass authentication, or interference with the site's operation.
  • Honour your DBS submission. If you submit a DBS check, the certificate must be your own and currently valid.

We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

Transactions and fees

Neuro Ally takes 5% of each completed paid transaction. The price shown on a listing is what the seeker pays; the provider receives 95%. Browsing, listing, profile reviews, and testimonials are all free.

The 5% covers payment processing, hosting, moderator time spent on DBS reviews, and ongoing development of the platform.

Neuro Ally is the conduit for matching, not the contracting party. Any agreement between a seeker and an offerer is between them. We are not responsible for the quality of services delivered, but we will moderate complaints fairly.

Reviews and conduct

You can leave one review per listing per reviewer. Reviews must be honest and based on direct experience. Reviews used to harass, defame, or coerce a member are removed and may result in account suspension.

We don't edit reviews. We do remove ones that violate these terms.

Content and accuracy

  • General information only — content on the platform is community-contributed. It's not medical, legal, or professional advice.
  • No substitute for professional advice — for sensitive issues, talk to a qualified professional.
  • We try to keep things working — but we make no guarantee of availability or accuracy at any given moment.
  • External links — where members link to outside resources, this isn't an endorsement.

Intellectual property

  • Your content stays yours. By posting on Neuro Ally you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform.
  • Platform code and design are the property of Autism Help (a project by Axel Segebrecht).
  • Third-party fonts and icons are credited where applicable. Atkinson Hyperlegible and OpenDyslexic are licensed under SIL OFL 1.1.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Neuro Ally is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the platform — including from agreements you reach with other members.
  • We are not liable for any third-party site or service we link to.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Account closure

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. On closure, your listings, DBS metadata, and reviews you received are removed. Reviews you wrote of others are retained but anonymised. Audit-log references to you are nulled but events remain (so prior moderator activity stays accountable).

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. Substantive changes will be flagged on sign-in. Continued use after the update means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
